Feature: Norman Foster & Karimoku

I’m honored to share that my photography of the Foster Retreat, a remarkable residence on Martha’s Vineyard designed by Norman Foster in collaboration with Japanese furniture maker Karimoku, has been featured in FRAME magazine. This project exemplifies holistic living, where architecture, materials, and landscape converge in perfect harmony.
Nestled on Martha’s Vineyard, the Foster Retreat serves as a sanctuary for the family. The design draws inspiration from traditional American barns, seamlessly blending with the island’s natural beauty. Inside, bespoke furniture from Karimoku’s ‘NF’ collection complements the architectural vision, creating a cohesive and serene environment.
Capturing this residence was an immersive experience. The interplay of warm wood tones and soft natural light creates an atmosphere that resonates with both modern design principles and the rugged charm of the island. My aim was to convey how the space breathes with its surroundings, illustrating the seamless integration of interior and exterior elements.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to document this vision through my lens. You can explore the full feature in FRAME magazine.
